When Gronkowski and his brothers were 4 years old their dad started throwing tennis balls at them, the point was to catch them and eventually they did. He wanted them to be ready at all times. He would say, “if you want to play sports you can’t be afraid of the ball.” Gronkowski started working out in his basement with his dad and his 4 brothers, Gordie, Dan, Chris, and Glenn. “Just getting it implanted in me as a kid. I feel like growing up like that, is making me who I am now,” Gronkowski said. “Keeping all the hard work going, the success going. I feel like that’s where it starts — in the weight room to get you strong and get you ready.” If it weren't for his father always pushing him to do better and work harder he wouldn't be where he is today.
